Sharron Rose, M.A., Ed.
Sharron Rose is an award-winning filmmaker, author, and educator whose four-decade journey through the world’s sacred traditions culminates in Quantum Qi: The Taoist Art of Nurturing Life. Named Filmmaker of the Year by the World Congress on Qigong, Tai Chi, TCM, and Natural Healing, she brings unparalleled authenticity and depth to her exploration of ancient wisdom, healing, and human potential through the medium of conscious cinema.
As co-founder of Sacred Mysteries Productions, Sharron has created a wide range of acclaimed documentaries and educational programs on consciousness, world culture, and integrative healing—many featured on Gaia TV. Her award-winning filmography includes 2012: The Odyssey, Infinity: The Ultimate Trip, Healing the Luminous Body with Dr. Alberto Villoldo, and ARTmind with visionary artist Alex Grey. She also produced the feature film The Last Avatar, inspired by ancient Hindu prophecy, establishing herself as a leading voice in spiritual and transformative media.
A graduate of the Peabody Conservatory Preparatory Department and holder of an M.A. from George Washington University, Sharron received a Professional Development Grant from the American Institute of Indian Studies and became a Fulbright Senior Research Fellow, which enabled her to become the first American disciple of Bollywood legend and Queen of North Indian Kathak dance, Sitara Devi. She lived traditionally with Sitara in Mumbai, India to absorb her Classical dance and music lineage passed down for millennia. Her immersive studies across India, Tibet, Egypt, China, Africa, and Indigenous traditions fuel her passion for bridging Eastern wisdom with Western audiences and exploring energy cultivation as a path to longevity, vitality, and inner awakening.
Throughout her career, Sharron has integrated cutting-edge media and performance technologies—from pioneering blue-screen video art in the 1980s to today’s remote collaboration platforms—while also advancing Qigong education as creator and host of The Shift Network’s Qigong Global Summit. She is the author of the COVR Visionary Award-winning book The Path of the Priestess: A Guidebook for Awakening the Divine Feminine and has presented her work at institutions including MIT, Harvard, Columbia University, the Lincoln Centre Library for the Performing Arts and Carnegie Recital Hall. Her educational work includes arts programs for Young Audiences of America and Arts Horizons.
Whether in a wellness center, university, retreat, or sacred space, Quantum Qi provides a bridge between science and spirit, inviting viewers to feel Qi as a living presence. She currently serves on the Research & Education and Web Communications committees for the National Qigong Association and serves as Senior host for the global platform, healingourearth.com.
